Through the dunes and down to the shore, unending,
spreading off into the distance.
The pure whiteness, soft and clean,
awakened by the morning sun.
Caressed by the pulsing
waters,
made perfect by the ebbing flow.
Waves of sand go on forever.
Pristine, untouched, unspoiled .

The birds swoop down,
reclaim their place in the sun, to eat, to live.
With their little feet, graceful and dainty,
they leave their mark on the sandy surface.
It is like us, in our
lives.
As we live, we touch those around us,
and we are touched,
changed in many ways.

When we walk on the beach of our lives,
we leave footprints.
And those that walk with us,
their footprints too can spoil our beach.
In
one place, with one person,
we can dig, deeper, deeper,
changing the face of the beach,
making it less perfect, almost human like us.

The lapping waves begin
to caress our beach,
washing over it, renewing it.
It happens over and over,
giving strength to our faith in the future.
Each tide brings a new
start,
washes everything clean
As in our life too, we have a new start,
we wake to a clean day.

We control the tides in
our lives.
We renew the faith in our future.
